Culmina Family Estate Winery is a new, family-run winery estate located on the Golden Mile Bench. Conceived in 2007, Don, Elaine and Sara Triggs started with a simple goal: to make the highest quality wines possible from their family's own estate. Channeling their lifelong passion and resources into their new property, Culmina represents their commitment to excellence, as well as their desire to craft icon quality wines reflective of their origins. Since opening its doors in 2013, Culmina offers the opportunity to explore a very limited release of carefully crafted wines at their state-of-the-art winery and Tasting Room. Culmina’s highly sought after wines may now be found in top restaurants and retail locations in four provinces across the country.
Culmina is looking for an intelligent, creative, analytical, and ambitious candidate to support overall sales and marketing initiatives as the business grows. This newly-created position will support the Sales & Marketing Manager in the following areas:
Marketing & Promotional Coordination
- Develop programming and upload content for various social media outlets (HootSuite, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Trip Advisor, Yelp, etc)
- Coordinate applications for Wine Festivals, Promotional Events, and Competitions
- Support Culmina at trade shows and off-site winery events
- Manage the production of collateral (Tasting Notes, Sell Sheets, Shelf-Talkers, etc), and coordinate printing needs with external partners
Website & E-commerce Sales Coordination
- Ensure all content for WordPress website is up to date (Events, News, Images)
- Ensure that new products, tasting notes, and bottle shots are uploaded in a timely manner, commensurate to release dates
- Manage WordPress updates; and work with our website provider to increase SEO efficiencies
- Continue developing Culmina’s DTC & Member-based businesses
- Manage Culmina’s e-commerce software in all areas (online sales, Member sales, Member communications, and sales reporting)
- Update and manage Culmina’s Member database
- Manage all Member communications, including quarterly Newsletters
- Plan and execute Member events when required
Hospitality Support
- Offer the highest level of service and provide a warm, engaging, and memorable experience to Culmina’s visitors
- Conduct Reserve Tastings, Vineyard & Winery Tours, and host trade and media visits in the Tasting Room
- Support the Hospitality team when executing winery events
General
- Ability to represent Culmina’s values when working with the public and Culmina’s customer base
- Ensure Culmina's presentation in all marketing areas (tasting room, events, online, promotions, materials) is consistent to that of an ‘icon’ estate
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Commerce, Business, or Marketing
- A minimum of 2 years marketing experience in consumer packaged goods; wine or luxury industry experience preferred
- Experience working with the public
- Passionate about offering high levels of customer service
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite);
- Ability to quickly master new e-commerce programs; or solid competency using industry standards (Vin65 or e-Winery Solutions)
- Outstanding verbal and written communicator (English)
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Basic competency using web design programs (WordPress) or equivalent
- Ability to work the occasional evening / weekend
- Able to safely lift up to 15 kg / 35 pounds
- 19+ years of age & a valid BC Driver’s License
- Canadian citizen/Permanent resident OR the legal ability to work in Canada (i.e. a valid work permit) at the time of application
Remuneration commensurate with experience and negotiated upon offer.
