JOB TITLE: Area Manager

 

Summary: The Area Manager sells the organization's products to established customers and develops new prospects within the assigned territory. The Area Manager reports directly to PCAN Ontario Sales Manager, and will activate against organization objectives for distribution, programming initiatives, ROI and budget expectations, and brand plans; while adhering to the Company’s Canadian Activation, Visibility and Availability approach to selling.

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage territory of retail and OP customers, executing brand building programs within territory to achieve company objectives for distribution, display management, shelf management, and OP placements; and increase PCAN market share in all channels
• Maximize ROI for PCAN in territory, while leveraging budget accordingly, and achieving organizational goals within approved budget plan
• Develop excellent relationships with customers and the trade in order to attain sustainable account growth
• Use sales data to understand account performance, identify new prospects and present a business case for entire PCAN portfolio; leveraging brand sales analytics and relationships to drive portfolio success in key purchasing areas

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High level of professionalism and experience working within beverage alcohol industry
• Post-secondary education or higher with excellent computer skills and analytics capabilities
• Knowledge of provincial liquor laws, market trends and competitive landscape
• Highly organized, with excellent problem solving skills, and time management techniques
• Entrepreneurial drive and proven 2-3 years of field sales
• Experience managing T&E and operations budgets
• Possesses strong business acumen and keen negotiating skills
