Who We Are…

Found in the heart of wine country in beautiful British Columbia, Bench 1775 is located on the southern shore of Lake Okanagan. Named after the address of our winery, 1775 Naramata Road, along the beautiful Naramata Bench, Bench 1775 Winery is a celebration of land and place.

Wines from Bench 1775 are produced with the unique expression of fruit grown in the Okanagan Valley from three vineyard locations.

The Venue…

With spectacular views and a private vineyard setting, our winery is a great choice for couples looking to host an unforgettable wedding. Bench1775 offers multiple wedding venue options for both ceremonies and receptions. Our property includes an intimate ceremony site in the vines as well as what has been described as the Okanagan’s best patio. We can accommodate upwards of 100 guests for ceremonies, or a more intimate 75 for lunch or dinner receptions.

Bench 1775 is an ideal setting to treat your guests to a personalized wine tasting or beautiful patio meal. With breathtaking views of Okanagan Lake and its surrounding vineyards, our winery is a great setting for private or corporate events.

The Role…

Guest Services Manager,

The Guest Services Manager is responsible for the day-to-day front of house functions of the Bistro, hospitality & special events areas of the winery. This position will report directly to the General Manager.

·         Responsible for the smooth operation of the patio, bistro and guest operations (special events)

·         Maintain and administer the organizational plan for the property's bistro operations and special events under the direction of the General Manager

·         Train and supervise all front of house bistro and special event staff for bistro and special event activities

·         Consistently assures that the bistro and special event food & beverage services are operated in accordance with all applicable local, provincial and federal laws

·         Ensures that all safety and sanitation standards are in compliance with local/state health department regulations

·         Manage and  implement  all policies & procedures for the Bistro and special events department

·         Ensures the highest standards for the Bistro food & beverage services

·         Assist in the management of the tasting room during peak visitor times

·         Performs other related duties as assigned by the General Manager

·         Must have 3-5 years related experience in food & beverage operations with a proven track record of professional, efficient, high quality, and service-oriented skills

·         Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented

·         Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship building skills

·         Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

·         Must have supervisory, coaching and staff development experience

·         Must have a strong business aptitude.

·         Hospitality and sales experience preferred
