Highly regarded, innovative and successful BC winery is seeking a Hospitality/Wine shop Manager.
As hospitality and wine shop manager you will work with a highly motivated, fun team of people that love what they do. The ideal applicant must have at least 2 years of experience as a wine shop or restaurant manager. This position provides a key role in maintaining our very high standard of customer service.
Duties include
-
Oversee all operations pertaining to the wine shop and “the outstanding LA FRENZ customer experience”

Hiring, training and overseeing wine shop staff in all aspects of the wine shop experience

Continuing education of our wines including scheduling and managing content for regular staff meetings
-
Scheduling wine shop staff shifts over the entire season
-
Liaise with and organize reservations for tasting appointments including large groups and VIP customers
-
Order and maintain all relevant supplies for wine shop
-
Monitor and organise the re-stock of wine
-
Oversee cleaning duties and procedures in the day to day running of the wine shop

Conduct tastings with customers as needed

Oversee On-line sales, customer contact and follow up

Oversee shipping of Direct To Customer orders

Have complete knowledge and be able trouble shoot POS systems and on-line sales system

Event organization and participation
Required qualifications
-
Hospitality or Tourism diploma/ degree
-
WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) training up to level 2 or similar
-
Minimum of 2 years experience as a “hands on” manager of a wine shop or restaurant
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
-
Well organized, able multi task efficiently and meet deadlines
-
Strong computer Word and excel skills
-
During the peak tourist time May-October the applicant is expected to work most weekends as part of their 5 day week

Vin 65 experience would be an asset
