Sales and IT support (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Sales & IT manager

Summary:

Ertus Consulting International consults to wineries from vineyard through to final product in bottle. We also sell vineyard and winery production management software, Process2Wine®. Based in Penticton, BC, our parent company is based in Bordeaux, France.

We are looking for an individual to work in software support and sales. There will be some consulting field-work and quality control for client wineries and vineyards. There will also be travel in Canada and the United States.

Responsibilities:

IT:

Servers:

-      Setup servers to install P2W (after training), and check frequently, ensure servers work properly

-      Import customer data (.xls files) into Process2Wine® databases

-      Ensure correct set up and that data is imported properly so customers can start training with their own data

-      Make initial diagnosis in case of server issues

-      Restart failed servers

-      Supervise back ups and hotline, with head office IT

Process2Wine:

-      Use QGIS® and import maps from QGIS® to the GIS included in Process2Wine®, provide mapping services to customers and import GIS points into the software

-      Contact technical support for issues you can’t fix: level 2 maintenance is provided by head office

-      Inform customers about server failures

-      Conduct training sessions for Process2Wine® users

-      Maintain hotline service for Process2Wine® clients: answer questions, find solutions

-      Collect requests from customers for improvements and reports; submit to head office

-      Edit/construct reports for Process2Wine® in a Business Intelligence environment, using dedicated tools for programming

-      All the above will include travel where required in North America

Sales:

-      Prospecting (phone calls, emailing, etc)

-      Business meetings: demonstration of the software, collecting customer’s needs

-      Strategic marketing

-      Exhibitions, symposia (preparation and attendance at shows)

-      Sales and negotiations

-      Reporting and tracking of opportunities in Odoo

Vineyard supervision:

 -      Perform vineyard inspections for overall supervision

-      Quality control of vineyard operations

-      Pressure chamber measurements

-      Write reports for the customer after each visit to the vineyard

 

Required qualifications/skills

Background & Experience:

-      Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Viticulture, specializing in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

-      Enthusiastic about prospecting and sales

-      Knowledge in Java, SQL

-      Knowledge of the wine industry

Skills:

-      Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills

-      Ability to work independently and in a team environment

-      Willing to travel

-      Have a strong interest in technology and a strong desire to continue to learn

-      Fluent in English
