Little Engine Wines is located on the beautiful Naramata Bench.  We have a vision to produce a collection of wines that appeal to astute wine enthusiasts and the most seasoned professionals.

Responsibilities (inclusive but not limited to):

Provide welcoming & exceptional experiences that are educational, engaging and positive. 

Promote Little Engine’s brand, philosophy, the team and the portfolio in a warm, but highly professional and confident manner both on-site and off-site.

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation of the wine shop and surrounding areas. This includes re-stocking product and light housekeeping.

Be willing to be productive and versatile in supporting the Little Engine management team with additional opportunities such as off-site events and labelling.

Ideal Candidate Requirements (inclusive but not limited to):

Passionate about the wine industry and in consistently providing an exceptional level of service.

Strong communication skills and able to identify, adapt and be diplomatic when engaging with wine enthusiasts of diverse levels of knowledge and experience and with groups ranging in size.

WSET/ISG Level II or higher an asset as is experience in hospitality, fine-dining serving and/or boutique retail wine sales.

Must be able to work weekends with flexibility in schedule as business volume necessitates.           

Physically fit to meet the position’s requirements including standing for long periods and safely lifting and carrying up to 45 lbs repeatedly.

Hold a current Serving It Right certificate

We offer a highly competitive hourly rate. Remuneration is based on experience.
