A fulltime winemaker position is open for applications at the Gillis of Belleisle Winery in New Brunswick, Canada to start immediately.
We are an artisan winery in the South of the province about an hour outside of Saint John. We produce both grape and fruit wine. Our wines have won several medals from Canadian competitions with the highest award going to our amarone Premium Red. We have approx. 12 acres of vineyard with Minnesota hybrids, Marquette, Muscat, ES all between 5-7 years old. We also buy in all sorts of local fruits. We pride ourselves on making unique as well as traditional wines. We take a lot of inspiration from the booming local craft beer market.

We are looking for a dedicated winemaker to join us. Someone who is interested not only in making our current wines but wants to explore and create new ones.
Job Requirements
-A degree in Enology or related discipline
-Knowledge of winery equipment, lab procedures and sanitation
-Strong organizational skills and being able to work with others as well as independently
-Valid driver’s license
-Allowed to work in Canada
Job Responsibilities
-Communicate and work with owner and lead field hand
-Maintain cellar operations including racking, filtering bottling and cleaning
-Maintain records and lab analyses
-Report excise returns
-Assist and advise in the vineyard as needed
