13th Street Winery evolved from the desire to create exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of Niagara while also providing a place for guests to congregate and escape; to relax and discover; to experience and learn.

The recent completion of our new retail tasting room and production facility provides intimate spaces to offer an expanded hospitality program.

13th Street Winery is looking to hire a full-time Events Manager to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate is energetic with a passion for customer service and a desire to create memorable events. 

 Desired Attributes:

• Minimum 2 years experience in related field

• Formal education in Hospitality or Event Management

• Ability to work weekends and some evenings

• Demonstrated ability to secure, plan and execute projects

• Solid knowledge of and/or a passion for wine, with formal training considered an asset (WSET, etc.)

• Strength in the following skill areas: networking, time-management, planning, verbal and written communication, organization, multi-tasking, customer service, sales, attention to detail

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary contact for clients interested in hosting an event at 13th Street Winery

• Build and maintain relationships with event planners and tour operators

• Manages events from initial contact through to execution and follow-up

• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the entire events process

• Responsible for driving event revenues through the sale of corporate events, social events and signature 13th Street Winery events

• Works with Director of Marketing to market the event program

• Help further develop 13th Street Winery event offerings with the management team

• Ensure all administrative duties related to contracts, deposits, and payments are executed properly

• Participate in networking and industry events to promote referral business and build contacts

• Ensure communication and coordination with Winery Team regarding upcoming events

• Ensure all setup and tear down of event operations are done as per the contract

• Follow up all event related inquiries/communications within one business day

• Coordinate and update a calendar of events on a weekly basis

• Represent winery at outside functions as needed
