The Great Estates Okanagan Wine Club brings together seven of the Okanagan’s most prestigious brands, Jackson-Triggs, Inniskillin, Sumac Ridge Estate Winery, Black Sage Vineyard, Steller’s Jay, Nk’Mip Cellars, and See Ya Later Ranch.  Members of our wine club have the convenience of receiving some of the Okanagan’s finest wines delivered directly to their door.  

Summary of Responsibilities:

As Wine Club Associate you will effectively assist in the required tasks with Direct to Consumer and Wine Club relations while working cohesively with the Sumac Ridge team.

• Actively selling wine club memberships and wine through DTC and through winery retail stores, off site events and markets
• Packing and shipping out online orders in a timely manner
• Printing and mailing Membership Cards to new wine club members
• Keeping supplies in stock (office supplies, packing tape, etc.)
• Creating newsletters and recipe cards for wine shipments under the direction of your managers
• Assisting in processing wine club transactions and following up with members in a timely manner
• Working with Vin 65 - import tracking numbers for shipments and investigating guest inquiries
• Emailing members and fostering ongoing communications with wine club members
• Communicating regularly with club members via email, phone and in person
• Working on entering Competitions for all brands and working with Winemakers and Marketing Managers
• Supporting the Manager in the grown and development of the Great Estates Okanagan Wine Club

To effectively execute the selling process by providing a welcoming, educational wine and food experience while offering superior customer service.

• Participate in Sales Training Program with key performance standards
• Greet and engage all guests
• Presenting Wine – Conducting tastings, suggested food pairings, wine education
• Fulfilment of closing the sale
• Add on sales
• Confirming sales with a thank-you and invitation to return
• Conducting tours and leading winery experiences where applicable and as qualified
• Stocking wine and retail Items, inventory
• Daily cleaning duties
• Shipping and packaging
• Answering phones and directing guests appropriately
• Set-up and tear down for tasting events and special event programs (on or offsite)
• Kitchen duties (assist with dish washing, glass polishing, minor food preparation as necessary)
• Food service (patio where applicable, private events)
• To relay customer complaints and issues to immediate supervisor
• Adhere to Health and Safety Standards
