Okanagan Crush Pad Winery is looking for a part-time time bookkeeper/administrator to manage the accounting functions related to our winery and sales agency HQ Wine + Spirits. The position in located at the winery in Summerland, BC where you will join and passionate team dedicated to excellence. Time commitment will range between 25 and 30 hours weekly with room for flexibility of days and start times.
We seek an experienced individual with a strong knowledge of bookkeeping, and with previous business experience. Knowledge of full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting including A/P, A/R. Payroll, Bank rec, Government remittance, etc.
- Proficient with Quickbooks Pro
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience; previous liquor industry experience will be favoured
- Be able to work with our appointed accounting firm to deliver annual audited financial statements
- Be an organized self-starter, diligent, efficient, deadline-sensitive with great task management and attention to detail
- Competency with Microsoft applications including Word and especially Excel; be comfortable in an on-line environment
- Clear and skillful communication (both written and verbal) in a personal and professional manner
- The ability to work within a close-knit team who strive for excellence in all aspects of their work.
- Training will be provided on winery in-house systems: SalesLitre (wine sales & inventory management), staff time tracking and payroll function.
Administration duties
· Coding and data entry of sales documents and expense invoices
· Process bi-weekly payroll
· Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
· Process all monthly CRA, Excise Tax, PST, GST
· Reconcile bank statements including company credit card statements
· Produce monthly financial statements and reports for management
· Track budgets with management
· Manage cash flow in cooperation with senior managing partner
· Monthly coordinating of paperwork and reporting of sales to BCLDB as required
· Managing inventory reporting
· Managing employee salaries and vacation time
· All T4 and termination reports
· General office duties
