Cellar Direct is looking for Membership Recruitment Ambassadors in most major centers across Canada.
Cellar Direct aims to be Canada’s leading online provider of fine, hard to find artisan wines. We specialize in wines that reflect a sense of place, the talent and commitment of the winegrowers and the quality of the vintage. Our carefully selected wines come from organic and biodynamic winegrowers, contain no additives except for the possible traditional use of sulfur and undergo minimal technical manipulation. We visit our winegrowers and develop long term relationships with them.
Cellar Direct wines are offered exclusively through our free weekly email offers and are available on our website. Members learn about great, hard to find wines but are under no obligation to buy.
Ideally you will as be passionate about food and wine as we are. You will be able to organize and hold tastings and talk effectively, with passion and enthusiasm, about the wines we offer.
We are looking for a select few who:
• Are knowledgeable about styles, regional differences and flavour profiles
• Either have or know how to develop a social and business network in their area to promote Cellar Direct and expand our membership base
• Are able to deal with wine enthusiasts of diverse knowledge levels
• Are self-motivated & professional
• Can organize and hold tastings, and discuss the wines we offer with enthusiasm in front of small or large groups
• Have experience in hospitality, fine-dining service and/or boutique retail wine sales or other wine clubs
• Have sommelier or other equivalent experience
Compensation is commission based. Cellar Direct to pay costs associated with tastings.
