Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Canadian team of New Zealand's Most Awarded Winery, Villa Maria Estate. This a business development role that requires the successful candidate to work with our agent to provide strategic, operational and creative leadership in directing the development of sales, execution and maintenance of merchandising and the implementation of the company trade marketing plans. The territory will include Ontario, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Key to this position is the ability to build lasting relationships within the liquor industry to ensure continued strong growth of our brands in the Canadian Market.
Job Requirements
· Develop and maintain professional relationships with all key decision makers and industry partners.
· They must possess excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills.
· Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be a team player who can work well with minimal supervision.
· Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations to secure new listings, increase distribution and sales volumes of existing wine accounts and new business.
· Be able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task and respond quickly to demanding situations.
· The position requires the availability to work flexible hours and weekends to complete other special projects as required, including but not limited to trade events, trade shows, consumer tastings, seminars & staff training.
· Candidate must be willing to reside within territory
· The successful candidate must: be at least 19 years of age, possess a current driver’s license and maintain current auto insurance coverage.
