POSITION SUMMARY

This position reports directly to the Cellarmaster. The chosen candidate will participate in a wide variety of warehouse operations and activities, with an emphasis on facilitating and processing incoming and outgoing client wine inventory. The individual will also be responsible for: pick-up and delivery; tracking and purchasing supplies; performing various housekeeping and cleaning duties; and maintaining warehouse vehicles and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 45lbs (20kg) multiple times per day
• Work can be physically strenuous and so the applicant must be strong and fit
• Comfortable working in the 13 degree Celsius conditions of our cellar
• Must have a Class G driver's license with good driving record
• Must be meticulous, detail-oriented with high standards of performance
• Hard work ethic and dependable
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English
• Able to communicate via email using Microsoft Outlook
• Comfortable handling email and phone requests
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass an extensive criminal background check with solid references
• Data entry and computer skills an asset
• A knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word an asset
• A knowledge of wines an asset

TYPE OF POSITION

Full time entry level position with a four month probationary period. Working hours will generally fall within the hours of 10AM and 6PM Tuesday through Saturday, but applicant must possess the flexibility to accommodate occasional Sundays or Mondays if required.

STARTING WAGE

$15.00 per hour

JOB LOCATION

Hwy 27 and Rexdale Blvd. (to be preceded by a 3 to 6 month posting at our downtown location)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Locate, pull and prepare wines for pick up or delivery to clients
• Receive, verify, inventory, label and store incoming cases of wine from clients and agents
• Packing, repacking, wrapping and preparing orders for shipment
• Load and unload company truck or customer vehicles
• Complete deliveries and pick-ups using company car, van or truck
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
• Prepare customer receipts and shipping documentation
• Provide direct customer services
• Maintain and update inventories, databases and records in the computer system
• Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Cleaning and housekeeping duties in warehouse, office, washrooms and other areas
• Track and purchase supplies
