Marketing & Business Development Manager
Profile Wine Group, one of Canada’s premier wine and spirit agencies is currently seeking an Experienced Marketing and Business Development Manager responsible for the development and implementation of all marketing initiatives and business development strategies. This role will work primarily independently to implement the majority of duties, but will engage with the executive team and key staff members for strategic direction. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth and market share from both existing and new accounts. In addition, the successful candidate will be a team player, showcasing proven marketing abilities and a history of success as a alcohol beverage marketer. Wine and industry knowledge will be essential for success in working with licensees, suppliers, and ensuring compliance with LCBO regulations and policies.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work with key staff members to develop and implement a variety of sales and marketing programs and business development strategies that are tailored to meet the specific objectives of the divisions they support

Develop and manage a master marketing calendar supporting internal stakeholders’ marketing and key business development initiatives

Responsible for all aspects of the planning, coordinating, and successful execution of company, on-premise, and LCBO initiatives. i.e. product launches, winemakers dinners, supplier visits, in-store tastings, etc.

Support sales staff members as required through business development and sales cycles

Oversee and coordinate the production and distribution of printed materials and sales collateral supporting various marketing and business development initiatives

Develop brand promotional opportunities using both digital and traditional platforms

Oversee and coordinate regular website content updates i.e. new product releases, price changes, product updates, company newsletters etc.

Ensure the effective integration of social media opportunities into the organization’s overall marketing mix, sales strategies, and communication strategies i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube
Education & Experience:
- 3 -5 years progressive marketing experience within the alcohol beverage industry

Industry knowledge and extensive industry contacts

Post-Secondary education in marketing and/or sales related studies

Successful completion of WSET, ISG or industry related courses is an asset
Skills/Competencies
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong planning and organizational skills

Above average attention to detail, problem resolution and follow through

Ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast paced and demanding environment

Ability to use technology to support core responsibilities. i.e. social media, Adobe, etc..

Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
