Marketing and Logistics Coordinator (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Who we are:

Sideroad Twenty Cellars is a relatively new company founded by wine industry veteran, Andrew Howard. We are focused on building a Direct-to-Consumer sales route for premium wine producers through a network of connected Wine Brokers and our online store: www.sr20.ca.

We represent 10 Ontario VQA wine producers, have an exclusive and proprietary brand, and an extensive selection of boutique import wines from every corner of the globe. 

The opportunity:

We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us!  Our Marketing and Logistics Coordinator will be an integral part of our expanding business.

Key areas of responsibility include:

Marketing:

  • Creating and maintaining relationships with consumers and wine brokers
  • Design promotional materials: point of sale materials, posters, broker support tools and online advertisements
  • Develop Social Media content (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) 
  • Writing blog posts
  • Assist with planning and executing events (tasting events, trade shows, team meetings, training sessions, etc.)
  • Assist with development and planning of Marketing and Public Relations activities

Logistics:

  • Coordinate wine ordering and fulfillment process
  • Liaison with winery partner operations departments
  • Generation of monthly commission reporting
  • Liaison with Brokers on product orders and wine advice / food pairing
  • Website upkeep – manage product listings and special offers

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Graphics design experience (Photoshop)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail   
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self starter and flexible
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS-Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint and Social-media savvy
  • Wine knowledge and passion
  • Post-Secondary Education in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field preferred

Assets:

  • Wine or hospitality industry experience
  • Interested, capable and ready to sell wine
  • Formal wine education
  • Public Relations and/or Social Media training
  • Beneficial to have a vehicle

Other:

  • Start immediately
  • Work from Toronto east end office
  • Flexible to travel within Ontario (occasionally)
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends at events
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds (the weight of a case of wine)
