Lifford is the largest consignment agency in Ontario. Since 1978, we’ve been growing our portfolio and today the collection includes a thoughtful balance of historic producers and exciting younger winemakers from emerging regions. Our Direct-to-Consumer business is growing quickly and we’re looking for the right person to join our team. You’ll manage and grow your own client list and will be given the tools and support required to succeed. This is a fun, dynamic position suited to someone who is passionate about wine, who has taken wine courses, and who is a natural at client service. We’re looking for an excellent communicator and storyteller who will learn about the wines in our portfolio to recommend them to clients and guide their buying experience. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Skills:
· Proven track record in related sales
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to self-motivate
· Clear and persuasive writing skills
· Professional and intuitive client service
· Confidence speaking about wine to enthusiasts and collectors
· Creative sales strategies
· Ability to design basic promotional materials and e-mails
· Functional knowledge of social media platforms
· Familiarity with Mailchimp and CRM software an asset
· Comfortable addressing a room, virtually or in-person
Requirements:
· Undergraduate degree or equivalent
· 3-5 years’ experience in wine-related sales or marketing
· WSET Level 3 (or CAPS equivalent)
· Valid Ontario G driver’s license
· Base + commission model
· Car + phone allowance
· Work-from-home flexibility
· Some evening + weekend work required for events
