The Ideal Candidate
We are currently looking for a dynamic, results oriented individual to fill the position of Toronto Territory Manager (15 month maternity leave contract). This position requires a driven, self-motivated individual with proven success in the retail and on-trade beverage alcohol market who can contribute to our commercial success. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the wine and spirits industry and love sharing their knowledge with customers and the team. Existing relationships with licensees in the Toronto market preferred. Must represent our company and brands with pride and effectively convey their passion for fine wines & spirits as well as their individual drive for success as part of a dynamic and driven team.
Summary of Position
To increase the sales and market share of the Authentic Wine & Spirits Merchants portfolio of brands, in the assigned territory and accounts within the parameters set and in line with expectations of the company. Responsible for developing and maintaining critical partner relationships with accounts in your assigned territory. Potential candidates must have a passion for the wine and spirits industry, be results oriented and eager to learn and succeed. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license as well as valid passport for business related travel should it be required. Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
• Proven skill at closing the sale.
• Professional presentation and recognized ability for persuasive sales.
• Current experience in our industry with existing relationships.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and passion for fine wines & spirits.
• Leadership and ability to influence accounts.
• Ability to analyze statistics for targeting sales.
• Ability to set and execute high standards of performance.
• Advanced organizational and planning skills; and the ability to respect tight schedules and meet deadlines.
• Existing licensee client base preferred.
• Consignment experience an asset.
• Bachelor Degree or Business Degree preferred.
Base salary plus quarterly incentive bonus, car allowance and benefits commensurate with experience. Business related expenses are also covered. This position requires flexible hours and will sometimes require nights and weekends with Trade Shows, Supplier Dinners/Events outside of regular work days.
