ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Trade Marketing Manager, the Social Media Consultant will be responsible for the execution of ROUST Canada’s national social media content and social media strategy and execution, related, primarily, to Russian Standard Vodka but may include Zubrowka and Gancia, too. The goal is to improve brand awareness, visibility and audience engagement across our social media platforms, mostly Facebook but also Instagram and Twitter.
This is a part time/ consulting role. Although hours will vary, a typical week would require a 15 hr. commitment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages content lifecycle end-to-end; planning, production, scheduling, publishing and reporting
- Works closely with extended marketing team across various Canadian markets to gather content and explore new ways to leverage social media to support business objectives
- Participates in ideation and planning meetings with ROUST Canada’s strategic partners
- Maximizes follower base and engagement through active community management of various social media platforms specific to the Canadian market
- Monitors social media for comments, positive and negative and implements appropriate responses to drive positive outcomes and consumer engagement
- Participates in weekly social media meetings bringing insights to guide future digital and social media campaigns
- Contributes to production of video, still photography and written digital content
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or similar discipline
- 2-4 years’ experience at a digital agency or in a similar role managing digital content for a brand
- Experience in social media content development—both creative and copy writing
- Experience in social media community management
- Experience with planning, managing, and buying media for Facebook and Instagram Experience with a variety of technology platforms such as Facebook Analytics, Adobe Campaign Manager, InDesign, Illustrator
- Design skills, photography skills and/or graphic experience a definite plus
