Contract Position June 2017-January 2018

Reports to: Ontario Sales Manager

We are currently looking for a dynamic, results oriented individual to fill the position of Toronto Territory Manager (maternity leave contract). This position requires a self-motivated individual concerned with short-term sales activity within accounts as well as developing a long-term strategy to ensure AWSM will retain market share and growth strategy.  Relationship building is a must to obtain future business in existing and new accounts.  If you’re looking for a position that will keep you engaged and rewards you beyond a base salary, then you just may be AWSM.

Job Summary:

To increase the sales and market share of the Authentic Wine & Spirits Merchants portfolio of brands, in the assigned territory and accounts within the parameters set and in line with expectations of the company. Responsible for developing and maintaining critical partner relationships with accounts in your assigned territory.  Potential candidates must have a passion for the wine and spirits industry, be results oriented and eager to learn and succeed. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license as well as valid passport for business related travel should it be required.  Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

• Proven skill at closing the sale.

• Professional presentation and recognized ability for persuasive sales.

• Current experience in our industry with existing relationships.

• Effective oral and written communication skills.

• Knowledge and passion for fine wines & spirits.

• Leadership and ability to influence accounts.

• Ability to analyze statistics for targeting sales.

• Ability to set and execute high standards of performance.

• Advanced organizational and planning skills; and the ability to respect tight schedules and meet deadlines.

• Bachelor Degree or Business Degree preferred.

 

Base salary plus incentive bonus, car allowance and benefits commensurate with experience. Business related expenses are also covered.  This position requires flexible hours and will sometimes require nights and weekends with Trade Shows, Supplier Dinners/Events outside of regular work days.
