POSITION SUMMARY
Working alongside the Cellarmaster and Warehouse Associate, the Wine Inventory Specialist will help process wines moving through our cellar during high volume periods. The person will be required to accurately identify, classify and inventory the wine involved in each transaction (deposits & withdrawals); to rack or pull bottles and cases to/from storage; to update client CellarTracker accounts; and to create/revise client inventory reports. The position requires excellent computer skills, a sound knowledge of wines and the strength to lift, pull, rack, load and unload cases of wine on a regular basis.
Working alongside the CEO and IT department, the individual’s secondary role is to help develop and populate a proprietary cellar management program. Although temporary in nature, this work will provide for more regular working hours between the high volume periods mentioned above.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS (mandatory)
- Ability to lift a minimum of 45lbs (20kg) multiple times per day
- The work can be physically strenuous and so the applicant must be strong and fit
- A sound knowledge of wines
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent data entry skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Meticulous, detail-oriented with high standards of performance
- Ability to work independently, self-management
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Applicant must be comfortable working in 13°C conditions (i.e. in the wine cellar)
- Must pass a criminal background check and have solid personal and professional references
The following qualifications and skills would be an asset:
- WSET, ISG, CAPS or equivalent training
- Prior experience in the wine or restaurant industry handling cases of wine
- Proficiency in CellarTracker.com
- A valid drivers license (must have clean driving record)
- Access to your own vehicle
- Computer programming experience
TYPE OF POSITION
This is a part time casual position providing about 10 hours per week. More or less hours as required and when applicant is available. Working hours are flexible with a preference that they fall within the hours of 10AM and 6PM Tuesday through Saturday. Some work may be done from home.
JOB LOCATION
Hwy 27 and Rexdale Blvd. To be preceded by a 3 to 6 month posting at our downtown location. Some work in our client's homes.
COMPENSATION
$17.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
