Marketing Specialist (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

The Marketing Specialist, working closely with the Head of Sales and Marketing, is pivotal in achieving our goals in online sales and advertising campaigns. This role involves utilizing and designing various materials, marketing tactics, and communication pieces specifically tailored for online platforms.

Key responsibilities include executing strategies through advertising, digital marketing, reporting & analysis, CRM management, developing promotions, planning, and implementing digital campaigns, creative designing, and crafting creative content for both external and internal communications.

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, the Marketing Specialist is instrumental in the following areas:

·         Digital Marketing

·         Online Sales

·         Social Media Management

·         Content Creation

·         Graphic Design

·         Organizing and Directing Photo Shoots

·         Media Relations

·         Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

·         Market Research and Analysis

·         CRM Management

·         Developing and Implementing Promotions

 

Job Responsibilities:

 Branding and Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales and Marketing to develop marketing strategies that align with our brand positioning.
  • Designing content and copywriting for all digital campaigns, direct-to-consumer digital materials, the website, and digital media content.
  • Take responsibility for producing digital marketing assets as needed for the execution of online marketing initiatives.

Online Sales:

  • Construct and achieve the annual online sales budget, monitoring monthly performance.
  • Develop online-specific offers to reach key target audiences and achieve budgeted sales revenues.
  • Create seasonal campaigns, considering both product offers and communication strategies, and explore potential offline distribution channels if feasible.
  • Manage inventory and online allocations in line with budget and sales objectives, coordinating all packaging requirements for production and product registration as needed.

Marketing, Advertising, PR & Events:

  • Oversee all digital and social media advertising and signage.
  • Manage and update the company website, actively tracking performance using Google Analytics and proposing proactive edits and design enhancements.
  • Generate weekly reports on web traffic, social media status, digital/traditional promotions, consumer demographics, as well as sales, visitation, and the results of marketing activations.
  • Assist with social media strategy and oversee digital media efforts, including posting content, monitoring activity, responding to messages, and actively engaging with digital markets to increase engagement and conversion.

Content Creation & Infographic Design

·         Develop and execute a content creation plan, including the generation of unique and engaging content for various platforms such as social media, the company website, and email campaigns.

·         Design and produce compelling infographics and visual content that effectively communicate complex information in an easily digestible format.

·         Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure all content is on-brand and aligns with marketing strategies and objectives.

·         Utilize graphic design software to create high-quality visuals for digital and print media.

·         Regularly assess the performance of created content, using insights to refine and optimize future content strategies.

·         Stay updated on the latest trends in content creation and infographic design, incorporating innovative approaches and techniques to keep the brand's content fresh and engaging.

 

Other:

  • Perform any other tasks or duties that may be assigned from time to time within or outside the department.
  • Work at the winery will be required during high season.

 

Job Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in business or commerce, ideally focused on marketing and branding.

·         Completion of WSET level 2 or equivalent.

·         Currently or previously worked in dynamic, beverage alcohol company.

·         Minimum 2 years of managerial experience in Digital Marketing.

·         Proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Suites (specifically Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign and Premiere Pro) is an asset.

·         Proficient in social media and Digital Marketing.

·         Video editing skills.

·         Demonstrated ability to leverage data and information to inform decision making.

·         Experience using a CMS, such as WordPress, Commerce 7, MailChimp is an asset.

·         Experience using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads manager, Wine Pulse is an asset.

·         Impeccable attention to detail.

·         Exemplary written and oral communication skills in English. French or Mandarin is an asset.

·         Excellent organizational skills including the ability to set goals and manage projects, prioritize and see initiatives through.
