This role will require decisiveness, quick responses, and fast action. It will often involve you in critical situations demanding on-the-spot decisions be made by you with good judgment. You will be comfortable “juggling many balls in the air at the same time!” You are at your best within a demanding environment where consistently winning is critical. The role demands tenacity, boldness, assertiveness and a “will to win” in dealing with highly competitive situations.
Specific responsibilities include:
Have a track record of successfully growing a product portfolio, developing and maintaining relationships
Be responsible for the sales and promotion of a fast growing dynamic portfolio with well established core brands
Liaison with British Columbia Liquor Board/ Distribution and Key Licensee accounts
Excellent working relationships with BCLDB Portfolio Managers/ other corporate on and off premise accounts
Conduct day to day logistics and inventory management/replenishment.
Supplier Liaison and pricing/marketing negotiations
Coordinate Supplier visits
Event planning and coordination e.g Vancouver International Wine Festival, Whistler Cornucopia, Winemakers Dinners, Off site Trade and Consumer events
Occasional evening and weekend work
Ability up to lift up to 50 lbs
Achieve or exceed sales goals
Develop forecasts, budgets and implementation plans
Recruit and train sales associates as the company grows

Success Factors
Education: Degree, Diploma or equivalent experience
A passion for wine - Sommelier Guild or WSET accreditation an asset.
At least 5 years Business to Business sales experience in the wine industry, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
Excellent oral and written English skills
Great interpersonal skills with strong presentation skills by telephone and/or webinar
Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Valid driver’s licence
Microsoft office experience

Compensation includes Base salary plus incentive bonus, car allowance and benefits commensurate with experience
