We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual to fill the full-time vacant position of Marketing Administrator.
International Cellars Inc. is a wine importing, sales and marketing organization that has been in business for 33 years. We are active in the four provinces of Western Canada, but Vancouver is our home base and that is where this position is located. Our office is situated in the Yaletown area, easily accessible by the Canada Line.
The marketing of wine entails the following: creation of brand plans and calendars; creating support material; working with suppliers and brand managers to co-ordinate marketing and sales objectives; display advertising; supporting sales staff with promotional material; producing product profiles; creating price catalogues; developing POS material; working with the media; doing programs with our customers; planning and staging promotional events such as wine tastings and trade shows. You will be involved and responsible for all of this and, we assure you, quite a bit more.
There are some basic things that we need from you, including (but not limited to) a good secondary education in an appropriate discipline, a “take charge, can do” attitude, excellent computer skills, exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, the ability to meet deadlines and do what it takes to achieve that. You are self-motivated, take initiative, efficient and able to supervise outside contract workers and possess an abundant well of good ideas. You must be a Canadian citizen or have Canadian landed immigrant status. It is imperative that you get on in a team environment and can handle pressure with calm fortitude. Knowing something about wine or having experience in the wine trade, will give you an advantage with your application. However, we won’t overlook your application if you bring to us all of the other assets we are looking for.
