We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable full-time, permanent Trade Marketing Manager to represent one of the leading privately owned wine and spirits agencies in Canada. Created in 1982, Select Wine & Spirits represents key wineries from top wine producing countries and global premium spirit brands.  Suppliers include: Remy Cointreau, Patron Spirits Company, Trivento, Delicato Family Vineyards, and Sebastiani.

 

The company employs 90 people from coast to coast who sell and market beverage alcohol products to the various provincial Liquor Boards, private retailers and licensed on-trade establishments.

 

Reporting directly to the Regional Director – British Columbia, this role consists of overseeing all sales and trade marketing activities for the BC region. Job Duties:

• Execute, implement and evaluate provincial brand marketing strategies provided by the National Brand Manager’s
• Work in synergy with the national brand team in implementing, the brand’s strategy, vision and identity,
• Oversee and manage the Assistant Marketing Manager in the completion of daily activities and annual events such as the Vancouver Wine Festival
• Actively participate and organize in the regional strategic planning process, product launches, trade programs and local PR activities
• Complete weekly/monthly and quarterly sales analytics utilizing our business intelligence report tool
• Assist the Regional Director in creating and maintaining “best-in-class” relationship with key stakeholders at the liquor boards and with suppliers
• Create and present the business reviews with the Regional Director and support the regional team with the various supplier’s visits,
• Manage all aspects of the listing and application process,
• Provide support to the Regional Director within the context of their business responsibilities,
• Other responsibilities as assigned

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skill set:

• University Degree in Commerce, Marketing or Business Administration
• 2-3 years of industry work experience (or a combination thereof)
• Demonstrate knowledge of trade marketing principles, market analysis, plan development and people management
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills
• Demonstrates leadership, and initiative
• Excellent problem solving and organizational skills, attention to details
• Flexibility to attend industry’s events outside of the regular working hours
• Experience in the alcoholic beverage and with the BCLDB an asset
