TERRITORY MANAGER (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Job Summary:
The Territory Manager will reach sales objectives for executing marketing and sales plans for retail and hospitality accounts on Vancouver Island (preferably based in Victoria). Solicit potential customers on Vancouver Island through programs and tools made available.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell the various promotions, the planograms, the sales and marketing concepts, the commercial agreements with the customers and to ensure gold standard execution;
  • Book sales promotions, programs, shelf space etc. for the MONDIA portfolio and verify that the programs and promotions are executed by the client as agreed;
  • Optimize Mondia Portfolio distribution by developing current and further customers.
  • Introduce and present new products, as required;
  • Visit on a regular basis and inform the current customer base – government and private liquor stores, hospitality accounts - to review the product positioning and the posting of the brand promotional material or to proceed to the posting of the material if required;
  • Ensure that all Mondia Alliance products are well represented with the customer base;
  • Optimize available budgets in order to meet the Company objectives and clients expectations.
  • Take charge of business development with current and future customer base in the territory;
  • Plan, execute and follow up with customers business development using IT Tools ( CRM)
  • Inform the immediate Manager of market conditions and competitor’s trends;
  • Write sales reports and other management reports using IT tools;
  • Participate in various trade / consumer shows and events as required

Job Requirements:

  • Preference given to University Degree in Business Administration or Commerce (specializing in marketing or other relevant field); or a solid combination of education and related experience
  • Knowledge of wines and spirits; WSET 2 or higher preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; with proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • 3 to 5 years of experience selling consumer products
  • Minimum 2 years of experience selling in beverage alcohol industry
  • Able to work independently and on the road;
  • Possess a valid driver’s license;
  • Possess a reliable vehicle
  • Available for business travel
  • Written and verbal proficiency in English (French an asset).
