District Manager Vancouver Island (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Summit Fine Wines is a medium sized, premium wine company based in Vancouver and operating in Western Canada. We are seeking a motivated, professional, dynamic sales person based in Victori and working all of Vancouver Island including at both retail and on premise accounts. Summit Fine Wines is a subsidiary of the very prestigious, family owned Jackson Family Wines which is based in California. The goal of the role is to build strong relationships with key buyers and customers on Vancouver Island and to build the brand image and sales of Jackson Family Wines and of our esteemed wine partners. Integrity, passion and self-motivation are essential traits for this role.

Job Summary:

As a sales person at Summit Fine Wines you will work closely with the provincial sales team and the BC Sales Manager to execute and to achieve sales and marketing initiatives. This position is responsible for achieving sales targets as outlined by sales managers. Sales resources and effective marketing resources will be provided in order to support thhis role. Trips to Vancouver to support wine events once or twice a quarter is to be expected. This position is also responsible for developing ongoing profitable relationships with customers and continually maintaining a professional image of the company.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum two years experience in a sales capacity working with consumer goods. Hospitality industry preferred
  • Intermediate wine knowledge gained from formal education or experience equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Results-oriented
  • Able to afford out of pocket expenses which will  be reimbursed
  • Excellent verbal written communication skills
  • Diligent, organized, and good time management skills
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationship
  • Strong customer service and teamwork focus
  • Computer skills
  • A strong passion for wine
