With the advent of our newly constructed Visitors Centre, increased sales activity, and the introduction of a number of new branding concepts John Howard Cellars and the Megalomaniac brand requires an On-Site Retail Manager.
Our ideal candidate profile will:
- Ensure excellent customer service, including customer queries;
- Demonstrate consistent positive and professional interaction with employees, management and the public;
- Manage our wine club experiences;
- Continually focus on the maximization of profitability and sales targets.
- Plan, organize and oversee tours;
- Manage the retail store opening and closing duties including preparation of the retail store, daily cash balances and inventory management practices;
- Manage retail staff including monthly staff schedules, recruitment, and performance management;
- Prepare, analyze and report on the key performance indicators as it relates to the retail store; and
- Continually enhance retail experience to meet our goals.
Requirements for this position is as follows:
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution;
- 1 to 3 years of retail supervisory/management experience;
- Experience in the retail segment of the wine industry is an asset;
- Wine education is asset;
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational skills and experience in training and motivating a team;
- Ability to communicate in French would be a definite asset; and
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
