Kacaba Vineyards and Winery is an award-winning, boutique winery in Vineland, Ontario. We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our passionate team of wine professionals. This is a Maternity Leave replacement, with the opportunity to stay on board with permanent status. Position begins November 28, 2016.

We are seeking a results-driven wine enthusiast who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a truly unique opportunity for someone who is looking to gain exposure to all key areas of winery marketing while maintaining a direct relationship with our clientele. Reporting to Kacaba Winery’s General Manager, the ideal candidate will have experience in the wine industry, with wine knowledge being an important asset. Candidates will also possess strong communication and sales skills, be a self-starter, have the ability to multi task, and work well in a small team.

As our Outside Sale Representative, you will be responsible for all aspects of external sales (both LCBO and Licensee,) as well as event planning and execution. Must be available to work some evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Most of the work is done in-house as an office position with some off-premise sales, along with occasional on premise retail sales. (40 hours/ week)

Responsibilities:

  • Event management and execution of offsite tradeshows and public events
  • Maintain and manage the company LCBO and Licensee portfolio
  • Continue to expand the company’s account base
  • Follow LCBO sales forecasts, strategies and marketing plans as outlined
  • Execute LCBO merchandising and promotion campaigns as outlined
  • Monitor LCBO purchase orders, inventories and warehouse distribution
  • Review and file weekly LCBO sales data and warehouse reports
  • Liaison regularly with LCBO front line staff, retail managers, supply chain and wine critics
  • Conduct tastings with LCBO staff, Restaurant Managers and Sommeliers
  • Source and track prospects, data mine and execute the sales process
  • Develop call lists and demonstrate strong cold call techniques with a professional telephone manner
  • Maintain and update the CRM system with account specific information
  • Manage social media feeds in order to further brand awareness
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, logistics team and other winery representatives
  • Attend regular trade seminars and industry related presentations

Qualifications:

  • College diploma or equivalent in Sales and Marketing, Marketing Communications or Business Administration
  • 2 years of Sales and Marketing Experience
  • Wine Knowledge
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Smart Serve Certification
  • Proficient in Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2010 and Microsoft Outlook
  • Passionate about the Ontario wine industry and the Niagara region
  • Ability to work cross functionally to understand the needs of other areas of the business

Preference will be given to those with winery experience and a track record of closing sales, however, entry level applicants will be considered. There is an opportunity for a permanent, full time position depending on the applicant. Wage will commensurate with experience. Vehicle allowance and/or vehicle will be provided.
