Megalomaniac is seeking a Full-Time Winemaker and Director of Wine Production. 

 

This position will entail but not be limited to all aspects of wine production processing, packaging and certifications. 

 

Job Requirements:

 

• Minimum of 5-8 years of winemaking with a strong academic background

• Experience in Viticulture

• Strong Leadership

• Work well independently and as part of a team

• Keen attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills

• Computer Literacy

• Basic understanding of COGS

• Willing to work long hours and overtime if necessary

• Must be familiar with VQA regulations, requests and submissions

• Ability to travel internationally

• French language and Experience working in a Bordeaux appellation would be of benefit

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Responsible for the overall winemaking process

• Attend and participate in winery tastings providing input and decision making on strategic and marketing focus groups

• Using information gathered from tastings and lab analysis to develop plans for furthering the evolution of existing product offerings

• Establish winemaking procedures and processes while working closely with the sales team to format production schedules to sales forecasts

• Purchasing – grape sourcing, barrel and materials related to processing and bottling

• Participate in sales and marketing efforts necessary to promote and educate sales staff
