An exciting new wine store, Okanagan Estate Wine Cellar, is opening soon in the Ambleside neighborhood of West Vancouver! We will be offering an excellent variety of locally sourced quality wines in an environment where knowledgeable, friendly staff create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
We are seeking a Wine Store Manager with an in-depth knowledge of and passion for the B.C. wine industry and all things wine related including knowledge of food pairings. Genuinely caring about creating an excellent customer service experience for others is a must.
With your expertise in store management, sales, and the retail wine industry you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations including selecting and ordering product, managing inventory, and training and efficiently scheduling the store team.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- An enthusiastic and customer-service focus
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working in the retail wine industry
- Formal wine training equivalent to WSET Level 2
- Management/sales experience in a retail environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to create and maintain a positive team oriented work environment
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent marketing skills with ability to think outside the box
- Ability to adapt to unexpected changes and availability for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of a 7 day a week, retail business
