Description of Position:

We are currently seeking a part time sales consultant in the Winnipeg area, to call on retail and on-premise accounts. This is a great way to be part of a growing dynamic wine company and learn more about wine. 

 Selling experience and product knowledge of wines & spirits is required.

 Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience.   

1.          Professional Sales training knowledge  

2.          Professional Presentation skills

3.          Sales targeting and statistical analysis skills

4.          Strong organization, planning, review and follow-up skills  

5.          Wine knowledge a must  

6.          Effective record keeping, reporting, professional conduct and ethics are mandatory requirements for this role.

The successful candidate will:

·        Be responsible for the sales and promotion of a portfolio of 40+ brands in Alberta

·        Provide excellent customer service to government and private liquor store  and restaurants

·        Meet and exceed set sales forecast expectations from Management

·        Set and execute personal sales expectations and performance

·        Provide weekly and monthly sales reports

·        Bring new ideas on sales techniques, marketing programs and events

·        Work with suppliers (winery/brewery/distillery principals) when in the Alberta market 

 

Qualifications/Skills:

·        A minimum of 1 years sales in the Wine & Spirits industry

·        Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills

·        A proven record at closing the sale

·        An ability to respect tight schedules

·        A track record of successfully growing a product portfolio and developing relationships

·        Wine knowledge

 

Applicants will provide a vehicle in good working order.  

 

Candidates must be in good health and be able to carry 40lbs (a case of wine) as part of this position and be able to travel to from time to time for business activities and provincial alcohol beverage and wine shows.
