The Assistant Bar Outlets Manager is responsible for assisting the Bar Outlets Manager in developing, directing, and executing best in class revenue driving strategies relative to all outdoor operations on site, with a focus on ensuring unwavering extraordinary guest experiences that promote brand Image and meet/exceed financial objectives. Areas of focus include currently includes Whisky Bar Patio, Beer Garden, Ice Rink and outdoor group business. This role also provides leadership and supervision of property front of house team.

We are looking for a teammate with:
- WSET or ISG/CAPS or CMS certification (Whisky and/or beer product knowledge a definite asset)
- 1-2 years retail supervisory/MOD experience preferably in a Hospitality/Tourism or luxury retail environment
- University/College graduate - preferably from Business/Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism Management program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Proven people leadership, coaching, listening, communication, supervision, teamwork, and organizational skills
This teammate will be accountable for:
Assisting the Bar Outlets Manager in the development and execution of business strategies to:
- meet/exceed financial (including Wine Club sales) objectives for outlet location(s), including:
- Managing gross margin, operating expenses (including revenue labour spend - via management of staff levels and scheduling) and capital expenditures to within budgeted levels
- Responsibility for achieving annual revenue targets; including Wine Club sales targets
- Responsibility for accounting control including inventory control, and bank reconciliation
- Responsibility for cash management/reconciliation
- Development and execution of all outdoor outlet guest experience programming; reviewing on an ongoing basis to maximize revenue yield and guest satisfaction
- Food & Beverage related monthly P&L statements; including responding to discoveries
- Industry/consumer trends to develop new revenue opportunities
- opening and closing duties/responsibilities, leading pre-shift meetings, attending daily Functions meetings (when applicable), ensuring menus/Function menus are prepared and current, and Supervising Functions
- motivating front of house teammates to achieve assigned targets/incentive opportunities
- ecruiting, on boarding, and coaching to direct reports to ensure performance/talent/service excellence among all team members; recognizing when to engage People & culture to assist with performance management concerns
- executing F&B Standards of Service and F&B Operational policies and procedures
- Ensuring DayForce/payroll is up to date and accurate for F&B team members and providing payroll with required information for processing (including new hire information and notification of end of employment)
- managing maintenance or replacement of F&B outlet equipment and fixtures when/where required
- responding efficiently and effectively to guest concerns/complaints
- Ensures a Safe and Healthy Work Environment through the effective operation of the Health and Safety program and Joint Health and Safety Committee and ensures compliance with government regulations
