The Sonora Room Restaurant at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery are seeking passionate and skilled culinary team members to join or apprentice in their culinary brigade for the 2021 season.
We are currently hiring:
-Chef de Partie
-Line cooks
-Prep cooks
-Pastry cook/Baker
Would you like to spend the summer working with some of the best produce in the country? We are located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley (BC)
Under the guidance of the Restaurant Chef, your role will be to prepare consistent, upscale dishes for our guests. We work with local, highly seasonal, and thoughtful products in the kitchen and are looking for those interested in pursuing that philosophy.
Your contribution to the team will be an important factor in our guests receiving a memorable experience in a busy, stunning winery setting.
Job requirements include.
Having a valid food safe certificate
Passionate about cooking, local food products and producers
The understanding of working in a professional kitchen environment
Punctuality and time management
Being able to work as part of a team as well as independently
Job responsibilities include.
Receiving, preparation, storage, rotation and service of all food products
Working a clean sanitary manner adhering to health and safety regulations
Being able to follow direction and adhering to recipes laid out by the restaurant chef
