Retail Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcomes guests and consistently provides an exceptional experience that is educational, engaging and positive
Maintains a high standard of cleanliness and presentation of the wine shop and its team
Supervises the retail team with assistance from the General Manager; provide leadership and coaching throughout the year
Handles customer complaints professionally and proactively leaving a positive relationship between the guest and the company
Helps motivate a sales driven team, meet sales goals and targets set for the year
Ensure proper training of all staff upon start up as well as continuous training with new releases leading them to become experts of our product
Responsible for scheduling the team accordingly with business levels throughout the seasons
Responsible for inventory of all retail store products, including wine, gifts and packaging
Ensure all pricing is correct and updated with new releases and changes both on POS and with signs/ads
Programs POS software with updates; source products for retail sales
Oversee package and shipping of wine orders to customers and licensees
Staffs and works events, tastings, and other winery opportunities
Works closesly with the Tour Coordinator and Wine Club Concierge, their duties and their productiveness
Works closely with the GM and sales teams to build the brand
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in retail supervision preferably from a winery store
Wine credentials
Dynamic, outgoing team leader who is a motivated self starter with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor
Passionate about the wine industry and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking successfully.
Strong organizational skills as well as excellent communication skills and demonstrated skills of tact and diplomacy when dealing with a diverse group of wine enthusiasts and visitors.
Physically fit to meet the position’s requirements of standing for long periods, lifting up to 40lbs and comfortable with working indoors and outdoors
Must be someone who embraces people of all cultures and denominations, open minded, and sees others without passing judgment
Confident with strong social behaviour, a leader in problem solving skills, a model to their team
Strong computer skills, inputting and managing POS cloud based software.

Must be available to work evenings, and weekends, and holidays as required
