We are looking for a dynamic person to join our team as Accounts Manager servicing the Edmonton and Calgary markets. You will be servicing head office and store level as well as on-premise key accounts. This role will require require cold calling at times.
You will have the opportunity to work with outstanding wines and an enthusiastic and supportive leadership team, The position offers flexibility in schedule and will require some evening and weekend work for events.
Requirements for this position:
§ Self-starter and organized. Works well both independently and is driven.
§ Has a track record of setting achievable yet challenging goals and reaching sales targets.
§ Develop and maintain relationships, be comfortable making regular calls, scheduling in-person meetings with stores and restaurants.
§ Build trust and loyalty with store managers, buyers and key staff at accounts.
§ Maintain and increase product distribution by working with existing accounts and cold-calling new accounts where applicable.
§ Build long-term relationships with managers at restaurants to achieve listings and features of products by-the-glass and by the bottle.
§ Organize and execute product tasting and training with Stores and Restaurants.
Further Considerations and Requirements:
§ 5+ years of industry experience preferred.
§ Wine & Spirits education is required. Level 1(minimum)
§ “Pro Serve” Certification.
§ Candidate should exhibit a passion for the wine and spirits industry, have a strong understanding of the wine and spirits business.
§ You must have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and be able to demonstrate use in business presentations.
§ Proven track record and relationships within the Wine and Spirits industry in Alberta is an asset.
§ Candidate should reside in Calgary and/or Edmonton surrounding areas and have Canadian citizenship.
