Hidden Bench Estate Winery is a small, family owned and operated premium winery situated in Beamsville, Ontario.  Our critically acclaimed wines are 100% estate grown, certified organic and are produced with attention to detail from the vineyard to the bottle.

We currently have an opening for a motivated and focused individual with a passionate desire to help us grow and develop our online DTC channel and assist with all aspects of retail business at the winery.  This role has potential to grow and develop within the business.

The ideal candidate will have a sales focus with a can do attitude.  This role will see you in the tasting room on a day to day basis in conjunction with some administrative work, and general retail maintenance.  This busy and varied position entails most weekends and holidays.

 

Job Description

This role will best suit an individual who thrives in a multi-tasking, high energy environment.  You will be working directly with the Retail Manager as well as the  Winery Owner. 

The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-        Tasting room sales and curated group tastings

-        Marketing and management support of direct to consumer (DTC) sales, including fulfillment of orders

-        Ongoing maintenance and updating of products and Woo Commerce

-        Support of bi-yearly wine club releases and subscriptions fufillment

-        Support of all winery events

-        Curation, support and maintenance of all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram Twitter)

The following skills would be of benefit and permit you to succeed in this position:

-        Passion for the wine industry

-        Formal wine education (WSET or CAPS)

-        Ability to speak to and sell wine

-        Strong attention to detail

-        Post Secondary degree or equivalent in Marketing and or Communications

-        Strong computer and presentation skills

-        Experience with Constant Contact or similar email services

-        Experience with WordPress or WooCommerce or other DTC platform

-        Experience with social media management and curation

-        Experience with writing for marketing focused materials

-        Knowledge of French would be an asset
