The 38 acre estate vineyard, farmed organically and bio-dynamically is perfect for maturing late-ripening varietals including Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Pinot Gris is also grown on the estate. Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay from the Limestone Vineyard rounds out the estate portfolio.
Position Summary
Redstone Winery is currently seeking a motivated and hospitality driven individual for the position of Retail Supervisor. This is a full-time position and the ideal candidate must be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends. Previous management or supervisory experience in a hospitality setting is preferred.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Providing excellent customer service to customers by assisting them with wine selection/food pairings
· Maintaining inventory and ensuring the store is well stocked and visually appealing to customers
· Oversee the recruiting and onboarding of new employees
· Supervising retail employees and managing scheduling
· Performing store opening and closing procedures by securing the store and counting the daily cash sales at the end of the day
· Working as a team to present Redstone to customers and the community
Position Requirements
· Must have a positive and outgoing attitude, along with strong customer service skills
· Previous managerial experience in a hospitality setting
· Knowledge and passion for wine and the wine industry
· Ability to build a rapport with customers and promote products
· Proficient with Square, Moneris, and Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
· Smart Serve trained
· Sommelier/WSET certificate an asset
