We are looking for a self-motivated, detail oriented individual to join our team as Logistics & Business Development Coordinator, Western Canada. This role plays an integral part in helping manage our inventories across Western Canada along with sourcing and executing new supplier arrangements. The Logistics & Business Development Coordinator position is an opportunity to build a dynamic skill set and obtain wide ranging experience working in close collaboration with our marketing and sales teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

LOGISTICS & PO MANAGEMENT: (45%)

·     Submit all reactivations, PO revisions, bar code changes, etc. to Liquor Boards

·     Verify, process and post all bond transfer POs to MB and SK (Est 15 weekly)

·     Process weekly inventory downloads for MB and SK; verify accuracy of inventory balances and sku listings.  Distribute to sales and Prairie’s marketing team weekly 

·     For MB/SK, cross reference board’s on-hand inventory with upcoming planned programs and forecasted sales; advise MB/SK Marketing Manager to prompt liquor boards to order as needed

·     Verify receipt of SK PO’s in Order Management system

·     Monitor SK direct order POs via download from SK Lion website monthly and coordinate with Finance to ensure suppliers are invoiced accordingly.

·     Update Shipment tracker data with vintages and ETA’s on a daily basis (BC/AB)

·     Update bond transfer summary monthly

·     Update and maintain quarterly sales reports for various suppliers

·     Administer Consular charity events

·     Arrange customs clearance and deliveries to AWSM offices for wine samples and POS material

·     Process and distribute weekly Monarch inventory report for sub-agent

·     Process and distribute weekly Everything Wine inventory report

LISTINGS: (15%)

·     Submit new registrations and listing apps for Western Canada (BC/AB/MB/SK)

·     Coordinate with Sales & Marketing on completion of requisite forms for special order and consignments applications

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: (35%)

·     Be first point of contact for new suppliers via team recommendations, media blasts, website inquiries, trade recommendations

·     Conduct market research for new brand AuthentiGates. Identify portfolio fit and volume opportunities. Assess growing or declining category/segment, packaging and ratings/awards and competitive set pricing and consolidate initial feedback to supplier ensuring proper expectations are set if moving forward

·     Request samples for office team AuthentiGate and create initial pricing scenarios in advance of team sampling. Follow up with office/sales team after sampling feedback if product is a go and develop pitch/final pricing and programming for applications in tandem with VP West. Advise supplier on process/status

·     Champion AuthentiGate process in all markets with monthly follow up for BC chains and quarterly follow up for the Prairies. Keep management team up to date on AuthentiGate process improvements and status

·     Assist as needed for market analysis and pitch presentations for new suppliers

GENERAL ADMINISTRATION: (5%)

·     Maintain the Western Canada product information data base

·     Filing

·     Other duties as requested for Logistics/Marketing/Management

·     Holiday back-fill for Logistics Manager and Costing Analyst back-up

·     Phone coverage (as per office schedule)

 

Job Requirements:

·       Experience: Enrolled in University degree (BCom preferred) in Marketing or equivalent discipline

·       Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must be highly organized, and display excellent motivation and leadership abilities.  You should be prepared to provide examples of your written work.  Must be able to juggle multiple situations, and be self motivated and able to work independently.

·       Knowledge:  You must have great PC skills (Windows: Word/Excel).

·       Physical: Must be able to lift and carry 41+ pounds and able to build displays or handle heavy POS material.
