This position promotes Dandurand’s portfolio of wines to major chain retailers in Western Canada, with a focus on Alberta. The Key Account Manager, Western Canada reports to the National Director, Key Accounts.
Principal duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Selling PDW portfolio of wines to major chain retailers in Alberta
- Building, developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with major chain buyers
- Reviewing and analyzing market and category data to identify listing and volume opportunities
- Developing and executing consultative presentations that help achieve Dandurand and our supplier’s priorities while offering value to our customers
- Working with brand team to seek out and develop value driven marketing programs to help build and promote Dandurand family of wine brands
- Working with logistics and Trade Marketing to forecast programming and new product listings to ensure accurate inventory levels
- Communicating chain priorities/opportunities to sales manager and team to ensure flawless execution
- Managing assigned budgets by brand/chain
- Tracking and publishing monthly Chain performance reviews to executive team
Responsible for the following Retailers (list not exhaustive):
- Real Canadian Liquor Stores
- Liquor Depot
- Costco Liquor
- Sobeys/Safeway
- CO-OP Wine Spirits Beer
- Solo Liquor
Education & experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business or other relevant discipline
- Related experience (3+ years)
- Strong sales abilities and familiarity managing budgets
- Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, etc
We are looking for someone who is a team player, self-motivated, highly organized and can keep multiple projects moving forward to deliver on schedule. An interest in wine is encouraged and any wine education certification is a plus.
