Reporting to the Sales Director, Alberta, the Territory Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the territorial sales plan to maximize sales volume and product distribution. The assigned territory for this position is South Calgary, including Lethbridge.
Responsibilities
- Develop sales strategies and tactics based on advice, customer feedback and the market environment;
- Proactively identify and engage in opportunities to grow business, add value and keep our brands top of mind
- Achieve sales targets and generate sales growth in respective territory
- Manage designated budgets on a daily basis to grow business
- Maintain an excellent understanding of our products, the competitive landscape and the customer’s business
- Manage route plans and account visits to accomplish daily tasks within workday
- Manage business related expenses and providing feedback on spending activities
- Forecast volume estimates for account purchases utilizing sales data
- Participate in supplier visits, trade events, marketing blitz programs, and consumer events, all of which may fall outside of normal business hours
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in a sales role
- Experience in the alcoholic beverage industry (strong asset)
- WSET certification (strong asset)
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and dynamic leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication capabilities
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and respect tight deadlines
- Completed training in the wine industry (WSET) is a strong asset
- Ability to attend evening and weekends events
- Own a car and a valid driver’s license
