One Faith Vineyards & Winery is a cult winery located in the newly-created artisanal village, District Wine Village of Oliver, BC. District Wine Village is poised to be one of the most popular wine destinations in the Okanagan, with its iconic amphitheatre, unique atmosphere, and panoramic views. It is easily accessible via highway 97. Since 2011, One Faith Vineyards & Winery has been driven by the vision of creating and developing premium quality wines made 100% from Okanagan grapes and promoting Okanagan wine to international wine enthusiasts.
One Faith Vineyards & Winery is currently accepting applications for contract full-time WINE SHOP SALES ASSOCIATES for this coming season. If you are self-motivated with an enthusiasm for great wines and have fantastic customer service skills, you are a perfect fit for our family.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Educate guests on our wines and history, assisting customers with purchases while building relationships, and providing excellent customer service
- Assist and entertain guests on a one-on-one basis. We offer 45-minute, private, seated tastings in the wine shop through an online reservation system
- Introduce and promote Club Faith membership and benefits to guests, contributing to the club’s growth and reaching individual and team targets, while also assisting current wine club members
- Assist in other day-to-day operations of the Tasting Room and shop, including tours and online sales
- Assist in helping manage and maintain proper levels of inventory, placing purchase orders, and checking shipments
- Perform opening and closing duties, stocking, and merchandising shelves
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the hospitality areas, including the shop and designated tasting areas
- Assist with packaging and shipping wine orders for online and Club Faith member orders
- Assist in setting up and coordinating promotional and/or seasonal events for guests
- Perform daily administrative duties, including cash handling, and ad hoc responsibilities that may arise
Qualifications:
- Retail and cash handling experience preferred
- Solid wine knowledge preferred (WSET or ISG certificate a plus)
- Must have current Serve It Right certificate
- Food Safe certificate a plus
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays a must
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to lift 40 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Must be 19 years or older
- A vehicle is highly recommended based on our location
