ROLE OVERVIEW
The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will play a largely administrative role in support of the trade marketing team with such day-to-day duties as sales data entry, completing paperwork for program and product submissions and managing shipping and receiving of product samples.
Additionally, the candidate will work with point-of-sale and fulfillment suppliers on such tasks as gathering quotes, submitting orders for print, and coordinating shipping and receiving of POS material.
The candidate will have exposure and opportunities to participate in annual brand planning, meetings with strategic partners, and the planning and coordination of both consumer and trade marketing programs across all provinces.
This role will report directly to the Trade Marketing Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Submitting applications for retail programs
• Completing applications for new product submissions
• Maintaining programming calendars
• Updating pricing trackers
• Preparing and disseminating monthly sales reports
• Ordering, shipping and/or delivering product samples as required
• Maintaining product spec sheets for entire product portfolio
• Assisting in development and procurement of trade POS material
• Working closely with sales and marketing team across all provinces to collect market insights and report on competitor activity
• Assisting in developing sales and marketing presentations for internal and external audiences
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or similar discipline
• 1-3 years’ experience in a sales or marketing role
• Aptitude in using Excel to create business tools such as pricing trackers and program calendars, to perform analysis and calculations, as well as filter, and mine data within existing sales reports
• Aptitude and experience using PPT to create sales presentations including ability to do various charts and format text as well as data
• Experience in the beverage alcohol industry an asset
