We have been spending the last 5 years making huge investments in our vineyard in the way of mechanization and adding key people to our fantastic management team.

The Role:
This exciting new position of Assistant Vineyard Manager will play a key role in our strategic growth; and we are looking for just the right fit to join our dynamic team!
You are an ambitious, self-driven individual who is eager to advance their career in viticulture. A team player with energy, a can-do attitude and a desire for quality work and continual learning.
What you will do:
- Reporting to the Vineyard-Farm Manager your role will be to:
- Supervise the vineyard team to ensure the production of high-quality grapes
- Organize, control, and participate in all aspects of the vineyard mechanization
- Ensure the proper maintenance of the equipment.
- Monitor the vineyards for disease and pest, IPM.
- Apply and enforce health and safety within the workplace
- Regular reporting and communication to the Vineyard Manager
- Collaborate with, and assist as required, other departments to ensure the success of Luckett Vineyards as a whole
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
· EDUCATION: Post-secondary Viticulture Degree
· EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years of experience in complimentary roles (agriculture, horticulture, viticulture)
· A broad understanding of vineyard and equipment operations
· Appreciate precision viticulture and its absolute link with premium wine production.
· Valid NS driver’s licence
· Commitment to quality and stickler for detail
· Ability to work a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays as required
· Desired/Willing to obtain: Valid NS Class VIII Pesticide Applicator License
