ABOUT THORNBURY VILLAGE CRAFT CIDER & BEER:

Established in 2007, nestled in the famous Blue Mountains, the heart of Canada’s apple country, Thornbury Village Craft Cider House has been producing premium apple cider in a century old historic apple processing facility.  Thornbury cider is traditionally crafted in small batches from locally sourced, pressed apples. We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the 2018 Harvest season at our winery in Harrow Ontario.

 

Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

  • All work relating to receiving grapes, crushing and transfer.

  •  Preparing and adding dry good additions as directed by Winemaker.

  • Accurate documentation of all of the above.

  • Ensuring that Cellar wine quality parameters are met at all times.

  • Winery hygiene – sanitization of tanks and equipment.

  • Follow all Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures.

  • Follow all Colio standard operating procedures.

  • Good house-keeping.

  • Any other duties as may be necessary or assigned.

 

Interested Candidates should posess;

  • Completion of post-secondary education in winemaking/oenology or viticulture or equivalent experience an asset.

  • Forklift operators permit an asset.

  • Capable of lifting up to 25kgs.

  • Confined space training an asset.

  • WHMIS training is an asset but will be provided.

  • Highly motivated and have a strong work ethic.

  • A team player that can get along with others.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Willingness to work shift hours including weekends during harvest.

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.

  • Hold a valid Ontario Driver’s license.
