Technical Equipment Salesperson (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

QUALIFICATIONS:

-          - 10 years sales experience

-          - Great people skills

-          - High level organizational skills

-          - Ability to communicate effectively and work in a lateral team environment

-          - Experienced use of Excel, Word, Outlook and other business software

-          - Self-motivated

-          - Strong technical written language skills

ASSETS THAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE:

-          - Winery cellar/crushpad experience

-         -  Basic understanding of the winemaking, cidermaking and brewing processes

-          - Mechanical and/or electro-mechanical training/experience/aptitude

-          - Ability to work unsupervised

-          - Previous technical equipment sales experience

Qualified applicants should expect to work largely unsupervised using excellent time management skills under the direction of the company Sales Manager.  As the job entails travel within the BC winery regions, predominantly the Central and South Okanagan, with the head office located in Kelowna, the successful applicant would ideally be living in the Central Okanagan (Kelowna, West Kelowna or Lake Country) as this is not a work from home position.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

-          Engage in the Canadian wine, cider and brewing industries in a technical sales role representing multiple premium winery, cidery & brewery equipment manufacturers

-          Responsible for customer development and technical equipment sales primarily in the wine & cider industries

-          Basic product knowledge to understand the function and uses for the equipment we offer

-          Propose equipment solutions to winemakers, cidermakers and/or business owners through effective digital and personal communications

-          With support from the Sales Manager, create and submit professional equipment quotations for customers

-          Meet with principals and owners of existing and start-up wineries and cideries who inquire about equipment purchases

-          In person sales calls to wineries and cideries to determine current and future equipment needs

-          Maintain current and accurate records of all ongoing sales opportunities

-          Attend factory training sessions for all major product lines

-          Join the sales team in the booth at industry tradeshows where cellar-tek is exhibiting
