We are a collection of wineries operating a shared mobile bottling line within the Okanagan Valley. Our mobile bottling line was custom made to accommodate several bottling arrangements and is armed with state-of-the-art equipment and technical capabilities.
We are looking for a permanent Bottling Operations Manager who will be responsible for all mobile bottling operations including leading scheduled bottling runs, truck logistics, and optimizing efficiencies. The Bottling Operations Manager will work with Winemakers from each winery to execute specific bottling requirements and meet case production deadlines.
Key Duties:
- Manages logistics and planning of truck schedule with Winemakers
- Directs and leads scheduled bottling runs and line setup at the appropriate winery and readiness of stations to start the bottling process
- Acts as expert for the advanced technical systems
- Executes line changeovers for different bottles, packaging, and liquid
- Manages quality assurance throughout the bottling process
- Troubleshoots machinery to maintain desired performance to reduce downtime: jams, resetting equipment, removing glue/labels
- Performs and/or schedules equipment maintenance and preventative tasks
- Responsible for ensuring machinery and stations are clean and sterile to meet high standards of safety
- Follows all SOPs and GMPs
Must haves:
- Post-secondary education in trades or mechanical/electrical engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing/production environment in a wine or beverage production facility
- Experience working with a high-speed bottling line navigating advanced technology
- Strong work ethic; willingness to get the job done
- Highly detail orientated with a commitment to quality
- Available to travel within the Okanagan Valley
