Cellar Production Assistant (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

The View Winery and Wards Cider seeks a highly motivated, full time apple cider Cellar Production Assistant to work in all areas of our production facility. 

Experience in a winery, brewery or cidery setting is an asset, however we are willing to train the right individual. While this is a very hands-on skilled labor position, there would be opportunity to grow within the company for those who are mechanically inclined and interested in learning to run our packaging lines.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):
• Cleaning and sanitizing tanks, hoses and pumps
• Inoculations, additions, and transfers of product between tanks. 
• Assisting with filtration of finished product
• Assisting with bottling and canning of final cider products
• Receiving and unloading bins of apples from trucks 
• Operating apple press equipment
• Assembling and wrapping pallets for shipping
• Loading and unloading delivery trucks
• Maintaining facility cleanliness in all production, packaging and warehouse areas
• Assist from time to time with wine production for our sister company (The View Winery)
• Overtime and shiftwork on evenings and weekends during peak harvest periods (Sept-Nov) 

Qualifications:
• Applicants need to have an excellent work ethic and ability to see a job through
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually without supervision
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions
• Ability to work at heights, and in cramped, confined spaces at times
• Forklift experience and certification are a definite asset
• Ability to complete highly repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
• Physically fit, ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• An interest in apple cider and brewing industries

Most importantly, applicant should have a positive attitude, stay calm under pressure, and be reliable and punctual.

Compensation:

• Full Time / Permanent Position

• Hourly wage $15 - $17/hr based on experience

• Benefit package following 3 month probationary period
