Tasting Room Associates (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

SpearHead Winery is a boutique winery that focuses on producing premium Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and aromatic whites. The winery is located just ten minutes from downtown in South East Kelowna.

SpearHead is currently accepting applications for part-time and full-time tasting room associates for this season. As a tasting room associate most of your time will be spent hosting customers and educating them on our wines. In addition to this being a customer service focused role, we also hold onsite events periodically during the season, which means availability to work evenings and weekends is a must. Assistance with daily administrative duties, cash handling, stocking, and packing shipments are some of the other responsibilities you can anticipate. We are looking to hire individuals who are enthusiastic, hard-working, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.

 

 Description:

- Provide a high level of customer service to our visitors

- Answer phone and assist with daily shipments and other admin duties

- Able to open and close the wineshop

- Maintain cleanliness of the wineshop and surrounding areas

- Help with occasional onsite events

 

Qualifications:

- Retail and cash handling experience preferred

- WSET or ISG certificate a plus

- Flexible to work weekends and holidays a must

- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

- Able to lift 40 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods of time

- Must be 19 years or older

- Must have a current SIR and Food Safe

- A vehicle is highly recommended based on our location

- Most importantly, a passion for wine
