We are seeking a highly motivated Jack or Jill of all trades. This dynamic role will encompass all aspects of the warehouse, cellar, wine shop and vineyard. The ideal candidate should be practical, motivated, enthusiastic, energetic, highly attentive to detail and have a passion for learning.
Quality in the bottle begins in the vineyard. We farm 5 separate sites using meticulous vineyard practices. These grapes are crafted into wine styles using state of the art equipment and techniques. We produce and bottle approximately 12,000 cases annually.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Willingness and ability to work long physical hours
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Able to work in a team environment and independently
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
Responsibilities vary based on time of year, duties include but not limited to:
Vineyard
- General vineyard duties from pruning, shoot thinning & canopy management
Wineshop
- Responsible for customer service and sales transactions. This includes hosting tastings, taking payment, packing orders and helping guests by carrying out orders.
- Multi-tasking, organizing, cleaning, re-stocking. Duties included but not limited to: bussing and re-setting tables for next guests, polishing glasses, cleaning and tidying up washrooms and general housekeeping of the wine shop (floors, windows, watering plants, garbage and recycle, etc.)
Cellar/warehouse
- Bottling line operations
- Labeling line operations
- Warehouse – shipping and receiving
This is a unique opportunity to be an essential part of a boutique premium winery that has a history of continually striving to produce the finest quality wine possible.
Renumeration and benefits commensurate with qualifications and abilities.
Full time starting April through to the end of August with the potentional to be extended depending on the season.
