We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Retail & Experience Manager to join our Gray Monk Estate Winery team. Perched above Okanagan Lake with stunning panoramic views of mountains, vineyards and the lake, Gray Monk Estate Winery offers guests a true taste, or sip, of the Okanagan lifestyle. With a bustling wine boutique, a full-service banquet facility and a world-class restaurant, the winery is equipped to host guests for all occasions. Gray Monk Estate is comprised of 75 acres of lush vineyards overlooking Okanagan Lake, in addition to premium grapes sourced throughout the Okanagan Valley, to produce some of the world's finest wines.
Reporting to the Estate Manager your focus will be developing, directing, and executing best in class revenue strategies as they relate to tour and experience operations, ensuring extremely high-quality guest experiences that promote brand Image and meet/exceed financial objectives.

What You Offer:
- A College or University graduate preferably in Business/Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism, combined with two (2) to five (5) years retail management experience preferably in a Hospitality/Tourism or luxury retail environment
- Completion of WSET or ISG/CAPS or have CMS certification
- You are a visionary with extraordinary leadership and management skills including coaching, performance development, communication
- You enjoy a challenge; you are a problem solver, educator, an entertainer, and an ambassador
- You love what you do, and you have passion for working with the public, sharing wine and viticultural knowledge
- You are technically savvy with inventory system (Oracle), POS system (ProfiTek/LS Retail), scheduling (DayForce), and proficiency in MS Office systems
- You have exceptional communication skills with the ability to multi-task while leading, inspiring and engaging a team
- A "Can Do" attitude and enjoy working under pressure
What You Will Have Fun Doing:
- Developing and executing business strategies that meet/exceed financial (including Wine Club sales) objectives for property Retail function, including managing operating expenses and capital expenditure
- Developing and execution of a property wine guest experience programming; reviewing on an ongoing basis to maximize revenue yield and guest satisfaction
- Ability to maximize revenues per guest transaction via a solid understanding of Property wines / accessories / experiences / Wine Club membership benefits / dining-menu options events
- Working our Buyer-Accessories to develop/execute accessory merchandising
- Engaging in hosting VIP visits from internal stakeholders and external media and influencers, as well acting as a Brand Ambassador for all VIP guest experiences
- Driving daily sales targets for wine/spirit (where applicable), Wine Club and seasonal accessories
- Recruiting, On-boarding, and coaching direct reports ensuring DayForce/payroll is up to date and accurate providing payroll with required information for processing
- Developing and delivering ongoing product training to property Retail & Experience team members, in addition to supporting related division training and education programming
- Managing maintenance or replacement of Retail equipment and fixtures when/where required
- Responding efficiently and effectively to guest concerns/complaints
- Following safe work procedures and practices; WorkSafe regulations and understanding of COVID protocols
